Job summary

Columbus State Community College is seeking a part-time ASPIRE ESOL Instructor to create individualized learning plans, assess progress, and design ESOL lessons for adult learners. The role supports transitions to continuing education and department initiatives.

The position requires an Associate degree or higher, with TESOL certification preferred. Experience teaching ESOL to adults and familiarity with the Aspire program are a plus. 20 scheduled hours per week with on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students and place them within program levels.
• Develop and execute dynamic ESOL lesson plans for diverse learners.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and progress notes.
• Provide personalized support and refer students to external resources as needed.
• Stay informed about Aspire policies and program updates.
• Engage in ongoing professional development for ESOL teaching methods.
• Assist in recruitment and contribute to public relations for the program.
