Job summary

VSS International, Inc. is seeking a Line Driver to operate company vehicles hauling asphalt from the plant to paving projects in Monterey County, California. The role involves outdoor work on road construction crews and requires a safe, hardworking, team-oriented person.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain a clean vehicle, assist passengers, and report issues promptly. A valid driver's license is required and CDL endorsements may be needed depending on the vehicle type

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and documentation.
• Strong communication and customer service when interacting with the public.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to transport asphalt from plant to project or staging location.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tires, fluids, lights, brakes, and safety equipment.
• Assist passengers with safe boarding and exiting and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Maintain clean, fueled and presentable vehicle interior and exterior.
• Complete trip logs, mileage records, inspection forms and other transportation docs accurately.
