Responsibilities
  • This position operates skid steer as they apply to milling and paving operations. Operators are responsible for safe operation, non-mechanical maintenance, and upkeep of equipment.
  • Discusses plans and goals for the day's work with the field manager and determines the best method of completing work safely, productively, and on time.
  • Performs physical duties associated with the safe and productive operation of the equipment.
  • Performs maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing, and maintaining fluid levels on equipment.
  • Operates equipment prioritizing safety for all personnel around the equipment.
  • Communicates clearly with team members to achieve daily goals.
Qualifications
  • GED / HS Diploma a plus.
  • At least 2 years of skid steer experience within paving/milling operations is required.
  • Related work experience is necessary.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Make judgments regarding the most efficient operation of equipment and attachments.
  • Excellent hand, foot, and eye coordination for safe operation.
  • Compliance with company policies, including safety and maintenance standards.
Physical Demands

Requires extensive physical activity, ability to operate for long periods, and work in awkward positions. Must be able to handle materials up to 75 pounds and have specific vision capabilities.

Work Environment

Safety is paramount. Conditions vary by site and weather; work often involves proximity to traffic and rough terrain, requiring careful judgment.

Travel Requirements

Overnight stays may be necessary, especially during peak seasons. Night and weekend shifts are common. Travel within PA, Delaware, and Maryland is required.
