Job summary

Gray & Son, Inc. is seeking an experienced Asphalt Screed Operator to join our construction crew in Baltimore, MD. You will operate the screed to apply asphalt according to plans and quality specs under supervision, and may assist with other positions as needed by foreman.

We value craftsmanship, attention to detail, and safety. Prior experience with asphalt paving equipment and ability to learn additional machinery is preferred; we offer steady work on diverse projects.

Operate asphalt screed to apply asphalt per plan and quality specifications as instructed by crew superintendent to ensure daily schedules/estimates are met.
Ability to operate or learn to operate other equipment required on an asphalt crew.
Ability to operate asphalt paver/screed within designated area with attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Manipulates hand or foot levers to control movements of machine spreads and levels asphalt on subgrade of highway and related surfaces such as parking lots, streets, etc.
Any other duties assigned by your Foreman and Superintendent.

Ability to operate asphalt paver/screed within designated area with attention to detail and emphasis on craftsmanship.
Manipulates hand or foot levers to control movements of machine spreads and levels asphalt on subgrade of highway and related surfaces such as parking lots, streets, etc.
Any other duties assigned by your Foreman and Superintendent.
