Job summary

Texas Materials is seeking an Asphalt Roller Operator for the Houston area to support groundwork and paving projects. You will operate self-propelled rollers and related equipment, ensuring proper material flow and adherence to specifications.

Responsibilities include setting up forms, adjusting screed temperatures, coordinating with trucks, and inspecting equipment for safety and reliability. The role requires compliance with OSHA standards and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year experience in road construction or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years of road construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of paving and construction equipment.
• Observe paving material flow and adjust machine settings.
• Set up forms and lay out guidelines for curbs per specifications.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment; report malfunctions to supervisors.
• Coordinate truck dumping and assist co-workers as needed.
