Job summary

The Scruggs Company is seeking an experienced Asphalt Roller Operator to join our Operations team in the United States. You will operate self-propelled and pull-type rollers to achieve asphalt compaction, maintaining densities and strength while adhering to safety rules and company procedures.

You will monitor gauges, perform light maintenance, assist with related crew duties, and ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating asphalt rollers or similar equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to work with crew and follow supervisor directions.

Responsibilities

• Check fluids and monitor gauges at start and during operation.
• Operate and monitor roller to ensure proper compaction and avoid damage.
• Assist with lubrication, fueling, and minor repairs as needed.
• Help prepare sites by assisting with asphalt laying and material handling.
• Maintain safe operation around structures, traffic, and personnel.
• Keep equipment clean and well-maintained; follow all safety policies.
