Job summary

Florida Asphalt & Concrete seeks an experienced Roller Operator to join our production team in Florida. The role involves breaking down asphalt mix, compacting with rollers, and achieving final surface finish on projects from public works to private developments.

Candidates should have 1 year of roller operation experience, the ability to follow safety rules, and availability for overtime and weekend work. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Follow health and safety codes and company policies.
• Operate self-propelled steel-wheeled, rubber-tired, vibrator, segmented, or other heavy rolling machines to compact asphalt surfaces.
• Finish asphalt and ensure final surface meets specifications.
• Determine machine speed and direction for compaction with varying materials and temperatures.
• Communicate with supervisor to determine when target compaction is achieved.
• Perform daily equipment checks and report any deficiencies.

Florida Asphalt & Concrete is seeking an experienced Roller Operator to join our dynamic team. The role involves a multi-stage process. Initially, our Roller Operators break down the asphalt mix using a breakdown roller, followed by compression with a rubber tire roller. The final stage involves a finish roller that gives the final finish. Our operators may also be required to operate Steel Drum and Pad Foot Rollers to compact and seal earth fills, sub grades, and flexible base.

Requirements:
