Job summary

Lone Star Paving is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our Central Texas operations. You will work with the Quality Control Team to ensure products stay in compliance with contract specifications and quality control tolerance.

The ideal candidate is familiar with Excel, Outlook, Word and the Asphalt Paving & Construction industry. Responsibilities include inspecting materials, testing mixtures, maintaining test results databases, and upholding safety policies while working outdoors in

Qualifications

2+ years experience in quality control or paving/construction.
Strong familiarity with Asphalt Paving & Construction industry practices.
Proficient with Excel, Outlook, Word and related software.
Able to organize data and maintain test results databases.
Commitment to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Inspect, sample, and test aggregates, asphalt, or other materials for quality control.
Sample and test mixtures to ensure compliance with contract specs.
Monitor and test process functions and materials daily.
Prepare and record accurate information; maintain test results database.
Follow quality control plans and guidelines as assigned.
Ensure a safe work environment and proper PPE usage.
Perform general cleaning of work areas daily.
