Job summary

Hinkle Contracting, LLC, a CRH company, is seeking an Asphalt Plant Groundman in Paris, KY. The role focuses on ground operations, light labor, and routine maintenance around asphalt plants, under the supervision of the plant foreman.

You will operate equipment, perform inspections, and help train less-experienced staff in safe practices. Candidates should be prepared to work outdoors in varied conditions, follow OSHA/MSHA procedures, and travel or work nights/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating manuals.
• Previous asphalt operations experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform ground operations, greasing, light labor, and routine maintenance around asphalt plants.
• Safely operate heavy equipment and report issues to the foreman.
• Conduct daily pre-and-post inspections with documentation.
• Assist in training newer employees and support plant foreman with daily tasks.
