Job summary

Hinkle Contracting, LLC, a CRH company, is seeking a hands-on individual to manage ground operations at our asphalt plants in Kentucky. Responsibilities include equipment operation, basic maintenance, inspections, and assisting the plant foreman with daily tasks.

Candidates must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, follow safety procedures, and be willing to travel or work nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• The candidate will be responsible for all ground operations, such as greasing equipment, general laboring, equipment operation, and routine maintenance in and around our Asphalt Plants.
• Perform daily pre–and–post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Assist in training less–experienced employees on the proper operations, servicing and repair of equipment to further their abilities.
• Assist the plant foreman with the daily operations and upkeep of the plant.
• Willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
