Job summary

Hinkle Contracting, LLC, a CRH company, seeks a Groundman/Laborer for our asphalt plants in Owensboro, KY. The role covers ground operations, equipment greasing, general labor, and routine maintenance under the Asphalt Plant Foreman.

Candidates should be able to operate heavy equipment such as bobcat, skid steer, man lift, water truck, and haul truck, and perform daily inspections while following safety procedures and site protocols.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Pass a pre-employment "Fit for Work" physical.
• Provide valid I-9 documentation.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• HS diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• The candidate will perform ground operations such as greasing equipment, general labor, and routine maintenance around Asphalt Plants.
• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as bob cat, skid steer, man lift, water truck, and haul truck.
• Follow Foreman directions and daily task expectations for each project.
• Perform daily pre- and post-inspections and document results per company policy.
• Assist in training less-experienced employees on equipment operation and maintenance.
