Job summary

Sanders Brothers Construction Co. Inc. is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator to support our asphalt plants in the tri-county area. You will batch materials according to mix designs and DOT specs, and perform routine inspections to ensure safe, efficient operation.

The role requires basic math and computer skills, the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, overtime as needed, and adherence to company safety policies. Join a long-standing family-owned company with 50+ years in paving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Solid knowledge of plant equipment operation.
• Able to read and interpret load tickets and perform basic math.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background checks.
• Overtime, weekends, and on-call availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture asphalt products per design and DOT specs.
• Perform pre/post shift inspections and batch materials.
• Read delivery tickets and calculate load sizes.
• Operate loader and supply materials; communicate with dispatch.
• Maintain inventory of plant materials and keep area clean.
• Follow all safety policies and DHEC requirements.
