Job summary

Preferred Materials - Asphalt Division, part of CRH Southeast Division, is a leader in asphalt production and related roadway services, headquartered in Tampa, Florida with offices across the state.

Preferred Materials - Asphalt Division seeks an experienced Asphalt Plant Operator to operate plant controls, weigh and deliver aggregates and asphalt cement to the dryer and mixer, and assist with maintenance and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with strong math skills and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Minimum 3 years experience as Asphalt Plant Operator.
• Experience with Astec double barrel components and gencor controls a plus.
• Computer literate, experience with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt plant controls, weigh and deliver aggregates and asphalt cement to dryer and mixer.
• Maintain proper heat in dryer and ensure proper flow of materials.
• Assist maintenance and compile production/maintenance reports.
