Job summary

Mountain Companies in Lexington, Kentucky, is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator to manage production and load-out of materials. The role involves ensuring plant efficiency, performing basic maintenance, and potential welding duties. Training will be provided to the right candidate with some experience around an asphalt plant.

The position requires reading schedules, monitoring operations, and accurate data entry. CDL is a plus, and a valid license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Reads work schedules and determines sequence of operations.
• Operates plant according to production schedule using appropriate materials.
• Monitors material operation to ensure quality of mix.
• Performs basic maintenance and service on plant as required.
• Oversees truck scales and the loading of the trucks.
• Enters production information into computer systems.
