Description:

• Set up and general maintenance of asphalt plant


• Load and unload of materials


• Shovel and rake dirt, gravel, and asphalt


• General clean up around plant


• Operate small equipment such as skid steers


• Operate Dump Trucks (off road) to haul and manage dust


• Perform general maintenance of equipment and tools


• Assist others as needed or directed and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Able to work outdoors in extreme conditions, such as cold, heat, and humidity


• Comfortable working at elevated heights


• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures


• Able to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and overtime as needed


• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds


• Works well independently and remains motivated without close monitoring


• Able to build and maintain positive working relationships

Physical Requirements:

• Work Environment: Able to work primarily outdoors, including occasional night work, with exposure to uneven terrain, dust, dirt, and varying weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, and rain.


• Proximity Hazards:Must be alert and able to work safely near heavy mobile equipment.


• Climbing: Must have the physical capability to safely climb on and off of mobile equipment that is greater than 10 feet off the ground on uneven terrain multiple times daily.Must also be able to climb stairs and ladders at heights up to 100 feet.


• Balance: Including standing and walking on extremely slick and uneven surfaces while carrying.


• Vision: 20/40 corrected vision to see moving safety hazards, moving equipment, vehicles, and obstructions.


• Awkward positions: Getting to and from both sitting and kneeling on the ground.


• Heavy lifting: Awkward parts and equipment up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulders, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.


• Hearing: Corrected to hear verbal safety warnings and instructions.
