PRIMARY FUNCTION:

This role involves general labor, equipment operation, and plant maintenance, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.

Position Requirements:
  • Work effectively in a team environment with coworkers and managers.
  • Perform minor maintenance on plant equipment, using ladders for access.
  • Operate heavy machinery such as skid steers and wash-down hoses safely and efficiently.
  • Report issues promptly to management.
  • Maintain constant awareness and communication with coworkers for safety, including eye contact and hand signals when backing up.
  • Assist with general labor tasks, equipment maintenance, and support crew members as needed.
  • Perform welding and fabrication duties if required.
  • Identify safety hazards and equipment malfunctions, responding appropriately.
  • Follow written and oral instructions accurately.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
  • Complete daily inspections and documentation as per company policy.
  • Train less experienced employees in equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
  • Complete a 'Fit for Work' physical exam.
  • Provide valid I-9 documentation.
  • Maintain professionalism and courtesy at all times.
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home, including nights and weekends.
  • Be punctual and able to work overtime.
  • Work outdoors in extreme temperatures.
  • Strictly follow safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
  • Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Previous construction experience or training preferred.
