Job summary

Lehman-Roberts Company, a Granite Company, seeks a hard-working construction laborer to support highway and infrastructure projects. You will dig, lift, mix concrete and asphalt, and help install pipes and structures under supervision, performing physically demanding tasks on site.

On-the-job training is available; a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Safety and teamwork are emphasized as you contribute to long-term regional road and utility projects.

Responsibilities

• Digs, spreads, and levels dirt and gravel, using pick and shovel.
• Makes and pours concrete, asphalt, gravel, and other materials with hand tools.
• Joins, wraps, and seals sections of pipe.
• Removes forms from set concrete and fills expansion joints with asphalt.
• Lifts, carries, and places materials and supplies on site.

General Summary

Performs any combination of following tasks, such as erecting, repairing, and wrecking ; installing waterworks, locks and dams; grading

Essential Job Accountabilities

• Digs, spreads, and levels dirt and gravel, using pick and shovel.
• Lifts, carries, and holds materials, tools, and supplies.
• Cleans tools, equipment, materials, and work areas.
• Mixes, pours, and spreads concrete, asphalt, gravel, and other materials, using handtools.
• Joins, wraps, and seals sections of pipe.
• Performs a variety of routine, non-machine tasks, such as removing forms from set concrete, filling expansion joints with asphalt, and placing culvert sections in trench.

Education

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience

Work Experience

• On the job training required.
