Job summary

Solterra Materials is seeking a Groundman to perform a variety of physical tasks on asphalt projects. You will operate heavy equipment, use hand tools, and support daily production while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong communication, English fluency, and the ability to work on construction sites in varying weather. This is a full-time, on-site position with potential for growth within our award-winning team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year related experience preferred.
• Must be fluent in English, i.e., able to speak, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as trucks and front-end loaders according to job specifications.
• Follow Foreman or Superintendent guidance on daily production schedules.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site and report equipment issues to supervision.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to complete tasks and ensure safety compliance.
• Serve as front-line company representative delivering excellent service to customers and the public.
