Knife River Central Idaho Division is seeking an Asphalt Plant Groundsman to join our team in the United States. The role supports plant operations by inspecting and maintaining equipment, monitoring production, and ensuring a safe work environment.

You will perform daily site inspections, complete required reports, and communicate with coworkers and management. The position involves manual labor and varied hours to support plant operations, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Proven work history in construction or related fields.
• Mechanical experience around asphalt plants or rock crushers is preferred.
• Willing to work varied shifts and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of equipment and site safety checks.
• Perform maintenance on plant equipment as needed.
• Monitor production and complete required reports.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, suppliers and others on site.
• Assist with manual labor such as shoveling and keeping the plant area clean.

• Perform daily inspections of equipment
• Perform site inspections to ensure safety
• Perform maintenance on equipment as needed
• Monitor production
• Complete required reports
• Communicate effectively to co-workers, management, suppliers and others you come in contact with
• Manual labor including shoveling excess material away from plant
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven work history, preferably in the construction industry.
• Preferred equipment operator experience
• Must have mechanical experience preferably around asphalt plants and/or rock crushers and heavy equipment
• Must be able to meet company attendance policy
• Willing to work varied and extended hours
• Working in extreme weather conditions should be expected
