Job summary

Knife River Corporation is seeking a hands-on Asphalt Plant Groundsman to perform daily equipment inspections and site safety checks at our Utah facility. You will monitor production, perform maintenance, and complete reports while communicating with team members and management.

Applicants should have construction experience, prior equipment operation, and mechanical familiarity with asphalt plants or rock crushers. Expect varied hours and outdoor work in diverse weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Proven work history, preferably in construction.
• Prefer equipment operator experience.
• Must have mechanical experience around asphalt plants, rock crushers, and heavy equipment.
• Willing to meet attendance policy and work varied extended hours.
• Able to work in extreme weather conditions.

Job Summary

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily inspections of equipment
• Perform site inspections to ensure safety
• Perform maintenance on equipment as needed
• Monitor production
• Complete required reports
• Communicate effectively to co-workers, management, suppliers and others you come in contact with
• Manual labor including shoveling excess material away from plant
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven work history, preferably in the construction industry.
• Preferred equipment operator experience
• Must have mechanical experience preferably around asphalt plants and/or rock crushers and heavy equipment
• Must be able to meet company attendance policy
• Willing to work varied and extended hours
• Working in extreme weather conditions should be expected
