Job summary

Overland Corporation is seeking a dependable Asphalt Plant Ground Hand to support daily operations at our Lawton, Oklahoma asphalt plant. This role performs routine maintenance, assists with equipment servicing, and supports general labor tasks to keep the plant safe and productive.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work overtime or varying shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in asphalt production, construction, manufacturing, or industrial operations preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic maintenance skills required.
• Experience operating loaders or other heavy equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts as needed.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with company substance abuse policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of asphalt plant equipment.
• Grease and lubricate plant components to ensure proper operation.
• Monitor and maintain fluid and oil levels in plant equipment.
• Assist with minor equipment repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
• Operate plant equipment and loaders as directed and qualified.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the plant, yard, and work areas.
• Perform general labor tasks including shoveling, sweeping, raking, and material cleanup.
• Assist with steam cleaning, painting, tire work, and mechanical repairs.
• Support plant production activities and operational needs as directed.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
• Work effectively with supervisors, operators, mechanics, and fellow team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
