Job summary

APAC-AL, Inc., a CRH company, is hiring a Front End Loader Operator for our Greenville, AL asphalt plant. You will safely operate front-end loaders and support material handling on the plant site.

The role requires at least two years of loader experience in road construction, quarry, or asphalt plants, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to read measurements and perform basic math as part of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Two years of loader experience required in road construction, quarry, or asphalt plant.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Responsible for safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading.
• Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Keep time and material records.
• Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications.
• Knowledge of weight requirements of loads leaving the pit.
• Travel from interstate highway to rural dirt roads from various locations.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, walk, stoop, squat, sit, kneel.
• Knowledge of equipment and their uses.
• Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication).
• Knowledge of basic measurements and how to read a tape measure.
