The role requires hands-on leadership, safety focus, and accountability to deliver high quality asphalt while maximizing uptime and efficiency. You will supervise plant operators, coordinate maintenance, monitor mix quality, and work with dispatch and paving crews to meet customer and project demands.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and managing an asphalt plant.
• Strong understanding of asphalt mix production and quality control.
• Knowledge of asphalt plant maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Leadership experience supervising plant personnel.
• Ability to plan production and prioritize maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily asphalt plant operations
• Supervise plant operators, loader operators, and plant personnel
• Ensure safe, efficient, and productive plant operations
• Schedule and coordinate asphalt production to meet customer and project demands
• Monitor mix quality and ensure compliance with customer and MDOT specifications
• Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot plant and equipment issues
• Maintain plant inventory, including liquid asphalt, aggregates, fuel, and additives
• Work closely with dispatch, paving crews, quality control, and management
• Maintain accurate production, inventory, and maintenance records
• Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork

Jackson Metro Area – Richland, Mississippi

AJ Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Asphalt Plant Foreman to lead the daily operations of our asphalt production facility.

We are looking for a hands‑on leader who understands every aspect of asphalt production—from safety and quality control to maintenance and production planning. The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership of the plant, leads by example, and is committed to producing a high-quality product while maximizing uptime and efficiency.

Salary

$75,000–$95,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
