C.R. Jackson, Inc. in Columbia, SC is seeking an Asphalt Plant All-Round Equipment Operator to support day-to-day plant operations. You will operate multiple heavy machines, load materials, maintain stockpiles, and assist with general plant duties.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, able to work around heat and noise, and willing to adapt to varying plant needs; previous asphalt plant or construction experience is preferred, with a valid driver's license and reliable teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment is required.
• Experience at asphalt plant or construction site is a plus.
• Able to operate multiple equipment types safely.
• Can perform routine equipment inspections.
• Capable of working outdoors in varying weather and around heat, dust, noise.
• Willing to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and OT as needed.
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various heavy equipment around an asphalt plant.
• Operate front-end loaders, skid steers, dozers, excavators, and more.
• Load aggregate and materials into plant feed systems.
• Move and maintain aggregate stockpiles.
• Load trucks and transport materials around the site.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized.
• Assist maintenance and general plant operations as needed.
• Monitor traffic around machinery and maintain safety.
• Follow all safety procedures and plant operating rules.
• Collaborate with operations, drivers, and maintenance staff.
