Job summary

United Companies is a CRH Company seeking a Laborer to operate multiple types of asphalt paving equipment and perform laborer duties. The wage range is $21 - $23 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities include operating paving machines, setting up forms, and ensuring safe, efficient workflow at job sites. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of related experience (or equivalent), and 3 years of road construction experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience or training in related field; or equivalent education/experience.
• 3 years road construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive machines onto trailers and transport equipment and material to job sites.
• Operate paving machines; maintain flow of asphalt or material into hoppers or screeds.
• Set up forms and lay out guidelines for curbs per specs.
• Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment; report malfunctions.
• Coordinate truck dumping and material distribution at sites.
• Work nights/weekends and travel as needed; wear PPE per OSHA/MSHA.
