Job summary

Lone Star Paving is seeking a Common Laborer to join the paving crew, supporting foremen and superintendents in delivering asphalt projects across Texas. The role emphasizes physical labor with a focus on safety and teamwork in various outdoor settings.

Ideal candidates have basic asphalt knowledge and are willing to work overtime, weekends, and travel as needed, with an emphasis on reliability and a positive, professional attitude.

Qualifications

• 1 year (or under) experience.
• Must be organized with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Must be positive, friendly, and professional.
• Ability to work well with others in a group or one-on-one setting.
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety policy, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.

Responsibilities

• General laborer duties associated with asphalt paving, patching or prep crews.
• Required ability to shovel, rake and handle other small tools.
• Equipment cleanup as needed.
• May be called upon to run small power tools.
• Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
• Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.
• Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
