Job summary

Lone Star Paving in Central Texas is seeking a Common Laborer to join the paving crew. You will assist with asphalt work, patching and prep tasks, and support the foreman and superintendent to maintain high-quality paving standards.

The role requires physical labor, outdoor work in various Texas locations, and a commitment to safety policies. Overtime, weekends, and some travel within Texas may be required. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year or less experience in labor or similar roles.
• Must be organized with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Must be positive, friendly, and professional.
• Ability to work well with others in a group or one-on-one setting.
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety policy.

Responsibilities

• General laborer duties associated with asphalt paving, patching or prep crews.
• Shovel, rake and handle small tools.
• Equipment cleanup as needed.
• May run small power tools.
• Signal operators of construction equipment for alignment and material movement.
• Assist in placing, moving and dismantling signs and traffic control devices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
