Job summary

Sunland Asphalt is seeking an Asphalt Equipment Operator to run heavy equipment and apply asphalt products per project specifications. You will follow the Foreman’s schedule, maintain PPE and safety practices, and coordinate with drivers and crew on active sites.

The role requires a reliable communicator, ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and follow safety instructions and work independently.
• Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to apply asphalt products per job specs.
• Follow Foreman/Superintendent directions and safety policies.
• Communicate effectively with paver operators and truck drivers.
• Inspect and maintain equipment; report malfunctions.
• Keep job site clean and organized; comply with SDS handling.
