Job summary

Western Rock Products in Utah is hiring Asphalt Laborers to safely perform a variety of construction duties at highway, utility, and on-site plant locations. You will rake and shovel asphalt, ensure joints are finished evenly, and help move tools and materials across worksites.

The role requires reading and following instructions, writing memos, and a valid driver's license. Occasional travel may be needed; safety regulations and attendance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous construction experience is a plus.
• Must have a current and valid driver's license.
• Ability to read instructions, memos and short correspondence.
• Drug testing and physical agility testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Distribute asphaltic material by raking and shoveling.
• Match and finish freshly made asphalt joints evenly.
• Level and grade surfaces, spread asphalt to proper grade and finish before compaction.
• Move and deliver tools, equipment, and materials across the site.
• Follow OSHA safety procedures and company policies.
• Travel to multiple construction sites within the geographic region.
