About the Role

We’re hiring an Asphalt Laborer to perform a variety of manual tasks that support paving operations and ensure smooth, efficient project progress. This is a full‑time, seasonal position. Union membership is required for this role.

What You’ll Do

• Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials
• Prepare job sites by clearing obstacles and addressing potential hazards
• Transport and handle construction materials, tools, and equipment
• Assist with loading and unloading materials from trucks
• Support skilled workers such as Operators and Flaggers
• Maintain a clean and organized construction site
• Properly dispose of debris according to safety and environmental guidelines
• Report safety hazards, incidents, or issues promptly
• Stay alert and aware of active construction site conditions
• Maintain regular in‑person attendance

Physical Requirements

• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch for extended periods
• Lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs with assistanceli>
• Tolerate noise, odors, dust, grease, and chemicals like gasoline and diesel
• Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
• Experience in asphalt paving operations (required)
• Experience operating screed on an asphalt paver (preferred)
• Valid Class A CDL (preferred)
• Ability to adapt to changing tasks and work effectively as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and a positive, dependable work ethic
