Job summary

Amspec LLC. seeks an Asphalt Laboratory Manager to oversee daily laboratory operations and report needs to the Laboratory Director. The role includes coordinating calibrations, assigning samples, maintaining data, and ensuring accurate final reports and records.

Responsibilities include QA/QC leadership, instrument maintenance, training of analysts, and acting as liaison between laboratory staff and Operations. Extended hours may be required based on workload and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years petroleum experience or Associate degree with 5+ years in petroleum.
• Strong managerial experience and interpersonal skills.
• Effective communication with employees, consultants, management.
• Thorough understanding of laboratory safety and training issues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accreditation per AASHTO R-18 as Technical Director/Manager.
• Oversee QA/QC data review and records management.
• Coordinate lab assignments and assist during peak workload.
• Arrange instrument calibrations and maintenance.
• Provide training and act as liaison between staff, Director and Operations.
