Job summary

A construction firm based in Stow, Ohio is seeking a Heavy Highway Estimator to prepare cost estimates for paving projects. The successful candidate will evaluate project proposals, calculate project requirements, and submit competitive bids using Heavy Bid software. They will also work collaboratively with Project Management and ensure compliance with safety policies. Qualifications

• Prior experience in managing/estimating/engineering role on public and private construction projects.
• Strong work ethic to complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Experience in reading and analyzing Department of Transportation drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review proposals, plans & specifications; attend pre-bid meetings.
• Prepare quantity take offs and solicit quotes from subcontractors.
• Submit bid documents and pricing forms in Heavy Bid software.
• Track client document changes to ensure budget compliance.
• Collaborate with Senior Management to assess project risks.
