Job summary

Tradeswomen, Inc. is seeking an Asphalt Finisher to support street maintenance projects under supervision. The role involves spreading, raking and finishing asphalt mixtures, and assisting with site cleanup and setup to ensure safe operations.

Essential duties include irons to achieve a smooth surface, preparing sub-grades, completing reports, and operating basic asphalt equipment as needed. Experience with outdoor, fieldwork and adherence to safety standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Spreads and rakes asphaltic mixtures
• Irons asphalt to obtain a compact and smooth surface
• Cleans cut-outs and prepares sub-grades before paving
• Assists in clean-up of job site after asphaltic repairs
• Sets up job site (including cones, barricades, high-rises and signs) in a safe manner
• Completes standard job reports
• May operate the screed on an asphalt paver
• Will be the grounds person on asphalt milling machine
• May operate asphalt kettle and tool heater

Job description

Under supervision, the Asphalt Finisher spreads, rakes and finishes asphalt mixtures in connection with street maintenance and repair projects. Responsibilities include: operating asphalt kettle and tool heather; assisting in the clean-up of job site after asphaltic repairs; setting up job-sites in a safe manner; and performing related duties as required.
