Job summary

Barriere Construction, a CRH Company, is a Louisiana-based infrastructure contractor delivering quality construction projects and materials on budget and on time. The Field Engineer supports field and project management, focusing on safety, quality, estimating and financial results.

Responsibilities include assisting with preconstruction planning, maintaining schedules, coordinating with subcontractors, and supporting monthly estimates and billings to owners.

Qualifications

• Advanced: Written and oral communication skills, problem-analysis and problem-solving skills, teamwork at all levels, ability to work under pressure, interpersonal skills with confidential information, organizational & time management, GAAP knowledge.
• Basic: Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Assist with projects from pre-construction through final payment.
• Participate in preconstruction planning and meetings; gather documents for PM/Estimator.
• Ensure subcontracts and PO documentation precedes work activities.
• Maintain accurate project schedules for internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare daily schedules and end-of-shift reports with project teams.
• Order materials via PO system and track approvals.
• Review daily and weekly project schedules and P&L for accuracy.
• Maintain open communication with supervisors and project owners/GCs.
• Assist with monthly estimates and billing processes.
