Job summary

Preferred Materials - Asphalt Region, a CRH Florida Division company, is seeking a skilled Asphalt Distributor Truck operator to serve Orlando, Kissimmee and Melbourne areas.

Must hold a CDL Class B with tanker endorsement, pass DOT physical/drug screen, and have 3–5 years of experience operating an Asphalt Distributor Truck. The role involves maintenance, safety compliance, and coordinating with crews on paving projects. Shift differential may apply.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience operating an Asphalt Distributor Truck preferred.
• Able to lift 25 - 50 lbs.
• May oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
• Possess a solid understanding of all aspects of the paving industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction and other details related to asphalt paving.
• The operator is responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• May perform other related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, adding or removing screed extensions.
• Must have the following CDL Class B with tanker endorsement. Employee must meet the Preferred Materials Driver Qualification Standards.
• Must pass DOT physical/drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate Asphalt Distributor Truck in accordance with safety and project specifications.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance; refer major problems to supervisor.
• Assist with prep, grades, drainage and paving patterns as required.
• Set up and operate equipment safely; ensure efficient working condition of the truck.
• Support crew with related duties such as shovel work and line setting as needed.
