Job summary

BROTHERS Pro-Pave LLC is hiring an Asphalt Crew Laborer to assist in preparation, laying, and finishing of asphalt on roads, driveways, and parking lots. This role is physically demanding, requiring teamwork, safety awareness, and the ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

The ideal candidate will understand surface prep, jointing, and finishing processes, and be capable of lifting heavy loads, traveling overnight when needed, and complying with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in asphalt paving or construction preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of road and traffic regulations.
• Able to perform physical labor and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and push/pull 50-pound loads.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surface preparation for paving (sweeping, cleaning, tack coat).
• Shovel, rake, and level hot mix asphalt.
• Operate hand tools and small equipment (plate compactors, tampers, brooms).
• Support paving machine by feeding asphalt and maintaining workflow.
• Ensure compaction and smoothness of asphalt during/after application.
• Maintain a clean and safe work zone and follow safety guidelines.
• Follow foremen and supervisor instructions.
• Load/unload tools, materials, and equipment at site.
• Perform daily equipment and tool checks/maintenance.
