Job summary

Dcps seeks an experienced Asphalt and Concrete Project Manager to oversee paving and concrete construction projects from initiation to completion, delivering on-time, on-budget results for commercial sites.

You will lead crews and subcontractors, manage budgets, schedules, change orders, and procurement; read and interpret blueprints and specs; uphold safety, quality and regulatory compliance; and maintain clear client communication on-site.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in asphalt, concrete, or civil construction project management.
• Proven experience managing multiple paving and/or flatwork projects.
• Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Proficient in project management software (MS Project, Procore, Buildertrend) and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (preferred).
• Majority of work is on construction sites with outdoor exposure.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of asphalt and concrete projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Create and manage project budgets, schedules, and timelines.
• Coordinate work between field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Monitor job sites to ensure quality control, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates and resolve issues.
• Perform job costing and prepare change orders as necessary.
• Conduct pre-construction and progress meetings with stakeholders.
• Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and permits.
• Supervise site foremen and ensure productivity and performance.
• Handle project close-out procedures including final inspections and punch lists.
