Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Youth Program Director, the After School Program (ASP) Site Coordinatoris responsible fordaily onsite supervision, program implementation, and the development of youth and staff. The ASP Site Coordinator ensuresa high levelof program quality that will expose youth to various learning opportunities, working toestablisha positive relationship with all program participants, their families, and members of the school administration. This positionis responsible forhelpingmaintaina safe and welcoming after school program site, including spending time in ratio working directly with youth as needed. They will create an academic and enrichment-based program that is compliant with the Youth Development Principles of the YMCA of San Francisco .

After School Program dates:
  • Marin ASP sites: must be available to work mid-August 2025 to mid-June 2026
Qualifications
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Meet anyoneof following requirements:
    • Child Development Site Supervisor Permit (from CCTC)or
    • Associate’s degree or higher or48 college units and 4 years of youth development experience
    • Passes District Instructional Assistant Exam
  • Availability Monday-Friday,40 hours/week during program hours
  • 2+ years of experienceworkingin youth programs.
  • 6+ months of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Clearance of TB testwithin last 2 years (can obtain prior to onboarding).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor’sdegree (Education or related field).
  • Experience working in school environments, particularly local districts.
  • Bilingualproficiencyin Spanish
Job Responsibilities
Program Management and Operations
  • Manage daily operations of the after-school program, including schedules, activities, and staff supervision.
  • Maintain program spaces, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and accessibility for all participants.
  • Ensure safety and supervision of children,maintaininga 20:1 child-to-staff ratio; step into ratio when needed.
  • Track attendance and preparetimelyprogram reports, including snack distribution and grant-specific documentation.
Activity Planning and Implementation
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate academic, enrichment, and recreational activities.
  • Coordinate with school leadership to align after-school activities with school-day learning goals.
Staff Training and Supervision
  • Train, supervise, and support after-school program staff, ensuring professional development aligns with program goals.
  • Keep organized files and records for all staff on site per the regulations of Community Care Licensing.
Program Quality and Compliance
  • Monitor program quality using tools such PQA (Program Quality Assessment); set and implement improvement strategies.
  • Implement student outreach, registration, and enrollment strategies; ensure compliance with grant or licensing requirements.
  • Uphold all YMCA, district, and grant program policies and requirements.
  • Fundraising andCommunityEngagement
  • Support YMCA fundraising efforts, including the YMCA’s Giving Campaign
Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Ability to engage in physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting, andliftingupto 25 pounds.
  • Work may take place in indoor classrooms, outdoor recreational areas, and hybrid settings.
  • Flexibility to adapt to dynamic program needs, including occasional travel between YMCA branches and program sites.

Salary Description
