Job summary

Aretum is seeking a .NET Services Engineer to design and maintain backend services and APIs using ASP.NET Core, C#, and EF Core. You will work with PostgreSQL, GraphQL, and Azure in a Federal consulting setting, with responsibilities spanning data modeling, SQL query development, and robust testing.

Qualifications

• Experience building backend services with ASP.NET Core and C#.
• Strong knowledge of EF Core and PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience with GraphQL, Docker, Kubernetes and Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with observability and telemetry tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop services to implement business logic and data access using ASP.NET and EFCore.
• Create robust unit tests for APIs and components to ensure reliability.
• Integrate observability features, including OpenTelemetry metrics and correlation IDs.
• Troubleshoot issues reported by testers and end-users and address bugs.
• Diagnose operational problems in deployment environments and log detailed bug reports.
• Model and refine data structures for new features and optimize existing models.
• Develop complex SQL queries and views to enhance integration and performance.
• Maintain and evolve GraphQL schemas for seamless data integration.
