Job summary

Aretum is seeking a .NET Services Engineer to design and maintain backend services and APIs using ASP.NET Core, C#, and EF Core. You will work with PostgreSQL, GraphQL, and Azure in a Federal consulting setting, with responsibilities spanning data modeling, SQL query development, and robust testing.

Qualifications

• Experience building backend services with ASP.NET Core and C#.
• Strong knowledge of EF Core and PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience with GraphQL, Docker, Kubernetes and Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with observability and telemetry tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop services to implement business logic and data access using ASP.NET and EFCore.
• Create robust unit tests for APIs and components to ensure reliability.
• Integrate observability features, including OpenTelemetry metrics and correlation IDs.
• Troubleshoot issues reported by testers and end-users and address bugs.
• Diagnose operational problems in deployment environments and log detailed bug reports.
• Model and refine data structures for new features and optimize existing models.
• Develop complex SQL queries and views to enhance integration and performance.
• Maintain and evolve GraphQL schemas for seamless data integration.

Job Summary

Aretum is seeking a .NET Services Engineer. As a .NET Services Engineer you will focus on building and maintaining backend services, APIs, database integrations, and application logic using ASP.NET Core, C#, Entity Framework Core, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps. Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop services to implement business logic and modify data using ASP.NET and EFCore


• Create robust unit tests for APIs and other application components to ensure functionality and reliability


• Integrate advanced observability features into services, including Open Telemetry metrics and correlation identifiers


• Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by testers and end-users, and address bugs effectively


• Diagnose operational problems in deployed environments and log detailed bug reports for resolution
