Job summary

System One, Inc. is seeking a QA/QC Manager for our Pittsburgh, PA location to lead the ASME/Industrial QA/QC program onsite. You will monitor welding procedures, ensure code compliance, and inspect welded assemblies at key points during manufacturing.

The role requires a BS in Manufacturing Engineering or related field (or equivalent); 3+ years in quality systems and 5+ years in fabrication, with ASME/AWS knowledge. CWI is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering or technical degree (or equivalent experience).
• CWI certification is a plus.
• Minimum 3+ years in quality systems, audits, and procedures; 5+ years in fabrication/manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of ASME and AWS codes.
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols; proficient with measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage implementation of ASME/Industrial QA/QC program at Pittsburgh location.
• Monitor weld procedures and ASME code requirements for compliance.
• Inspect welded sub-assemblies and assemblies for ASME hold points.
• Maintain ASME weld procedures and train QC staff.
• Maintain quality records and conduct FAT per customer documents.
• Collaborate with drafting/design to review fabrication drawings.
• Prepare and maintain ASME QC records and respond to corrective actions.
• Communicate with customers/vendors and manage NDE services.
