Job summary

Mass Tank in Middleboro, MA is seeking an experienced ASME Pressure Vessel Welder / Fabricator to join our steel fabrication team. You will fabricate and weld ASME pressure vessels in a shop, following approved drawings, WPSs, and job travelers.

The role requires ASME Section VIII knowledge and the ability to pass welding qualifications. Ideal candidates have direct experience in ASME-certified fabrication shops, with strong attention to detail and a focus on quality, safety, and continuous

Qualifications

• Direct experience fabricating and welding ASME pressure vessels.
• ASME-certified fabrication shop experience.
• Ability to pass or maintain ASME welding qualifications.
• Strong understanding of ASME Section VIII (Div. 1), welding symbols and fabrication drawings.
• Fit-up tolerances for pressure vessels; high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld ASME pressure vessels in accordance with drawings, WPSs, and job travelers
• Perform welding processes including GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW on carbon steel and stainless steel
• Read and interpret ASME fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and specifications
• Follow qualified Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and ASME Section IX requirements
• Fit-up shells, heads, nozzles, and attachments to ASME tolerances
• Work with Quality Control to support inspections, NDE, and documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area per shop safety standards
• Participate in continuous improvement of fabrication and welding processes
