Position: Automated Side Load Driver
Operate refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned and special routes to pick up garbage, yard waste, or recycling. Oversee helpers, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and other related duties.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Safely drive trucks on established routes, collecting and dumping refuse, and unload at landfills or transfer stations.
2. Provide courteous and efficient customer service, ensuring a high level of service.
3. Maintain a positive attitude towards company and customer goals.
4. Ensure proper collection of garbage and recyclables; tag improper containers.
5. Perform daily inspections and safety checks as per Waste Pro and DOT guidelines.
6. Maintain cleanliness of trucks, including weekly washing and inspections.
7. Assist in cleanup duties and handle manual tasks as required.
8. Complete required reports and documentation.
9. Supervise persons working on the vehicle during routes.
10. Comply with all DOT and state requirements for commercial vehicle operators.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record.
• Minimum age of 21.
• Understanding of refuse collection policies and DOT requirements.
• Normal hearing and vision, with physical ability to perform job tasks.
• Experience driving various refuse trucks and manipulating heavy equipment controls.
• Ability to follow routes, instructions, and maintain records.
• Proficiency in English for communication and paperwork.

Physical and Work Environment:

Must be able to push, pull, lift 50 pounds frequently, and work 8-12 hours in various weather conditions. Accommodations may be provided for disabilities.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Attend training sessions.
• Stay updated on technology used by Waste Pro.
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors.
