Job summary

The Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (USDB) is seeking a Paraprofessional for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing at the Kenneth Burdett School for the Deaf in Ogden. This part-time, on-site position supports a classroom instructor and deaf/hard of hearing students.

Responsibilities include preparing materials, tutoring students, tracking progress, supporting behavior interventions, and maintaining records. ASL proficiency, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a Utah driver license are required; a

ASL skills required for assignments in the ASL classrooms.
Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
Ability to drive a state vehicle is required.

Prepare teaching materials and tutor individual students under the instructor's supervision.
Communicate student progress to the instructor.
Assist with motivation and achievement in academics and skills.
