Choice Translating, Inc. and TravelingBrand is seeking freelance video interpreters fluent in ASL and/or LSQ, with strong English, to support clients primarily in Charlotte, North Carolina, and surrounding areas via remote video interpreting.

This fully remote role requires reliable internet, proficiency with Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, and experience with Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities. Flexibility in scheduling is essential for providing timely VRI services.

Qualifications

• Must be fully bilingual, fluent in ASL and/or LSQ, and English.
• Technologically proficient, comfortable using video conferencing tools such as Google Meet and Microsoft Teams.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection in a private space is required.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Experience or comfort working with Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret spoken communication in real-time.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in both languages.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA and interpreter Code of Ethics.
• Manage your own flexible schedule and accept appointments as needed.
• Provide Video Remote Interpreting (VRI).
• Be punctual, professional, and committed to high-quality work.

This position supports clients primarily located in Charlotte, North Carolina, and surrounding areas through remote video interpreting.
