Job summary

Choice Translating, Inc. is seeking contractor interpreters for on-site, video remote (VRI), and over-the-phone (OPI) interpreting across multiple languages. Based in Charlotte, NC, we welcome interpreters from North Carolina or other states for VRI/OPI opportunities, with on-site roles available in Charlotte.

Ideal candidates are fully bilingual in French and English, tech-savvy, and hold at least a high school diploma. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Fluent in French and English with strong interpretation skills.
• Able to use video conferencing tools and corporate software.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret spoken communication in real time.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in both languages.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA and interpreter Code of Ethics.
• Manage your own flexible schedule and accept appointments as needed.
• Provide services on-site, via video (VRI), or by phone (OPI).
• Be punctual, professional, and commit to high-quality work.

Qualifications

• Technologically proficient (familiar with Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred
• Eligible to work in the U.S. (Green Card or higher)
• Clean driving record, valid driver's insurance, and reliable transportation
