Job summary

Sorenson Communications in Salt Lake City is seeking an intern with ASL linguistics knowledge and a technical background to join our generation team for a 6-month internship. The intern will work on glossing and annotating ASL Classifier (CL) video data to support our English-to-Gloss translation model and avatar signing pipeline.

Strong candidates will be native-level ASL signers with interest in sign language technology and comfort with data annotation or analysis tools.

Qualifications

• Native ASL signing skills.
• Background in linguistics, CS, data science, or a combination.
• Familiarity with ASL classifier systems is a plus.
• Interest in sign language generation technology.
• Comfortable with video annotation tools and/or basic data analysis.
