Job summary

Northland Learning Center is seeking an American Sign Language – Language Facilitator in Virginia, MN. The role includes interpreting for students with varying degrees of ASL knowledge, facilitating communication in the classroom, and providing support for IEP development. Qualifications include fluency in ASL and experience in educational interpreting. This position is aimed at supporting deaf and hard of hearing students in a general education environment. The pay range is $23.31-$30.17 hourly.

Qualifications

• Fluency in American Sign Language required.
• Experience in educational interpreting preferred.
• Completion of Interpreter Training Program is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interpret for students with varying degrees of ASL knowledge.
• Facilitate generalization of vocabulary.
• Support communication in the classroom for deaf/hard of hearing students.
• Assist in IEP development as needed.
• Act as a tutor when outlined in the IEP.
• Prepare reports on students' progress.
