Job description

TransPerfect Connect (TPC) is seeking American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters at all levels with demonstrated experience in utilizing their bilingual skills professionally. We offer training to start your career as a Video Remote Interpreter.

Candidates must be fluent in ASL and passionate about advocating for clients by delivering high-quality interpretations. Whether assisting patients in medical settings or helping clients secure loans, your language skills will make a difference.

Equipment Needed for Remote Work

• A Windows or Mac computer (8GB RAM or higher) with a minimum 2GHz processor, no more than 5 years old
• Wired headset (no wireless)
• High-speed broadband internet connection
• At least Windows 10 or OS X Yosemite
• A quiet workspace with no distractions

Qualifications

• RID Certification
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working from home
• Professional proficiency in ASL at an above-average level
• Ability to pass a language assessment

Training

All interpreters receive one week of paid remote/online training with a dedicated trainer, based on experience.
