Job summary

Starting date is immediate, position is full-time for 10 months with hours per week as listed. The role requires a High School diploma with extensive sign language knowledge and training; 48 semester hours or an associate degree

Qualifications

• High School diploma and extensive knowledge and training in sign language.
• 48 Semester hours, Associates degree or must take and pass Work Keys Test.

Responsibilities

• Direct Service to hearing-impaired students in the classroom.
• Transliterate and interpret for students per IEP.
• Explain, translate, and adapt language to be understood by the student.
• Collaborate with teacher and hearing-impaired specialist to ensure accurate interpretation.
• Attend IEP meetings and maintain professional conduct and impartiality.
